The theme of this year's conference will be: Positioning, Navigation and Timing Technologies: The Foundation for Military Ops and Homeland Security. JNC is the largest U.S. military Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) conference of the year with joint service and government participation. The event will focus on technical advances in PNT with emphasis on joint development, test and support of affordable PNT systems, logistics and integration. From an operational perspective the conference will focus on advances in battlefield applications of GPS; critical strengths and weaknesses of field navigation devices; warfighter PNT requirements and solutions; and navigation warfare. FOUO US only conference attendance (July 9-11) will be screened by the Joint Navigation Warfare Center and will be restricted to US only. The classified session will have US only Secret Clearance access (July 12). JULY 11-13 BELS+ WORKSHOP, GNSS DATA PROCESSING TRAINING Barcelona, Spain Building European Links toward Southeast Asia (BELS+) is a program designed to develop GNSS markets for European Union (EU) companies and help EU GNSS applications gain a foothold in South East Asia. With that in mind, the project is organizing a GNSS Data Processing training program in Barcelona on July 11-13, in addition to a workshop on July 12 to raise awareness about business opportunities in South East Asia among European companies, professionals and institutions offering GNSS-based products and services. < http://insidegnss.com/barcelona-to- ring-in-bels-workshop-gnss-data-processing- training/> JULY 16-27 ESA/JRC INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL ON GNSS Loipersdorf, Austria The ESA/JRC International Summer School on GNSS is hosted this year by Austria from July 16-27, 2018 in Loipersdorf, Austria. It is in cooperation with Stanford University in the United States, the Institut Supérieur de l'Aeronautique et de l'Espace ISAE-SUPAERO in Toulouse, France, Graz University of Technology in Austria and the University FAF Munich in Germany. The 10-day course will cover all aspects of satellite navigation, up to and including the creation of a satnav-based business. September SEPT. 5-7 INTERDRONE Las Vegas, Nevada, USA After a big show last year (3,700+ delegates from 59 nations and rave reviews), the InterDrone conference returns to Las Vegas in September. The InterDrone conference will feature more than 125 sessions for engineers, software developers, executives, investors, regulators and commercial drone "buyers and flyers" in more than a dozen vertical market segments with six special enterprise tracks. SEPT. 11-12 INDUSTRY SPACE DAYS Noordwijk, The Netherlands The Industry Space Days (ISD) is a unique event which provides an excellent opportunity for the European space community to meet and discuss prospective business. Described as the largest space innovation B-to-B meeting event, it will be held in September at the European Space Research and Technology Center (ESTEC) in Industry Space Days. SEPT. 24-28 ION GNSS+ Miami, Florida, USA ION GNSS+, the world's largest technical meeting and showcase of GNSS technology, products and services, will take place September 24-28, 2018 at the Hyatt Regency Miami in Miami, Florida. This year's conference will bring together international leaders in GNSS and related positioning, navigation and timing fields to present new research, introduce new technologies, discuss current policy, demonstrate products and exchange ideas. Complimentary Short Courses Short courses will be provided on Monday on a complimentary basis to all paid registrants at ION GNSS+ with the compliments of the Satellite Division and the ION Master Instructors. ION Master Instructors are internationally recognized GNSS experts and educators. All of the ION Masters have generously donated their time and talents to this effort, as a service to the GNSS community, with the ION's gratitude.
