There's no refreshment cart in site, so what do you do? If you're at the King's Walk Golf Course in Grand Forks, North Dakota, you may just have the option to order up a burger and a drink to be delivered via a FlyTrex drone. Israeli drone logistics startup FlyTrex, which has been delivering food via drones in Iceland, is launching a drone delivery service at the golf course. Regulations in the U.S. make it difficult to fly over people and require operators to keep their aircraft within sight, but golf courses make for a nice option for deliveries since they feature open spaces, fewer people, and clear sightlines. King's Walk plans to start with a single drone making deliveries to one location, but hopes to eventually get an FAA permit to fly over people that would allow them to expand to include delivery points throughout the course. Protecting, Tracking the Elderly Washington, D.C., USA GNSS location based services can help navigate vehicles, provide directions via smartphone and much more. But another great benefit is wearable devices with accelerometers that can track movements and alert monitoring stations when the wearer falls or wanders. Some of these devices are combined with GPS trackers that allow caregivers to monitor a loved one's location in the event of someone wandering off. A behavior that commonly affects those diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and dementia, wandering can lead to death or serious injury. Disorientation caused by the disease makes even familiar surroundings seem unfamiliar to seniors, causing many people with dementia to get into dangerous situations. Fortunately, these GPS tracking devices and technology used for the elderly have introduced a new way for caregivers and families to prevent the dangers of wandering in senior loved ones.
